Data Deletion
Your data is yours. You can request complete deletion of your Skillet account and everything associated with it at any time.
How to Request Deletion
Send an email to support@skillet.studio from the email address tied to your Skillet account. Use the subject line "Account Deletion Request".
Include:
- The email address on your account
- Confirmation that you understand deletion is permanent and cannot be undone
What We Delete
When we process your request, we permanently remove:
- Your account and profile information
- All recipes, including every version and draft
- All cook logs, session notes, and ratings
- All AI-generated content and refinement sessions
- All menus, culinary skills, journey progress, and related data
- Uploaded images linked to your account
- Share tokens and any active share links
This is a complete deletion, not an archive. Once processed, this data cannot be recovered.
What We May Retain
In limited, specific cases:
- Anonymized aggregate data — usage statistics that can't be traced back to you (e.g., "X recipes were created this month")
- Legal obligations — financial records required by law, if applicable
- Security logs — audit records for abuse prevention, retained for a limited period and then purged
Timeline
We process deletion requests within 30 days. You'll receive a confirmation email when it's complete.
Google Sign-In Users
If you authenticated with Google, revoking Skillet's access from your Google Account permissions will prevent future sign-ins. However, to delete the data already on our servers, submit a deletion request as described above.
